BC Age Grade League Final games Klahanie Park is waterlogged and the fields have been closed for the weekend. Because of this, the BC Age Grade League Final games have been moved to Lucas Centre Field at 2132 Hamilton Ave. in North Vancouver. It is very close to Klahanie Park. (MAP) There is no shelter at Lucas centre field — if anyone has tents they can lend to the event please let me know. Any volunteers who can help to set up the fields (which have to be roped) should be at the field at 9.30 a.m. Should the fields at Klahanie drain of standing water, the games will be moved back to Klahanie – an e-mail will be sent on Saturday evening to confirm the venue: game times will remain the same: our U15’s final kicks off at 10.00 a.m. and our U16’s at 11.15 a.m. MINI RUGBy (Grades K–6) MINI RUGBY HAS NOW FINISHED FOR THE FALL SEASON and will restart Sunday 25th January at 10 a.m. – the U15s and U16s are both playing in the BC Finals at Klahanie on Sunday, 30th November (Kick off times 10 a.m. and 11.15 a.m.) – please come down in your Capilano jerseys and cheer for our teams that day. See info at top of page. MINI'S CHRISTMAS PARTY will take place in the clubhouse on Sunday, 7th December at 12.30 p.m. to 2.15 p.m. – this is the glittering finale to our Fall season with lots of great food and drink for the kids, professional entertainer and Santa with a top quality present for each player. Please Note that we hope to be distributing the tracksuits and team photos you ordered at the christmas party. Please let your team manager know that you will be attending by Sunday 30th November – cost is $20 per player. Call Team Manager Cathy on 604.537.5717 or e-mail ALL PLAYERS: PLEASE CHECK E-MAIL BEFORE LEAVING HOME FOR LAST MINUTE CHANGES DUE TO WEATHER ETC. Please LEAVE YOUR DOG AT HOME! Capilano RFC has a strict "NO DOGS" policy that is rigorously enforced. Dogs of any size, kind or temperament, and their excrement have no place around Rugby fields or players. Please do not bring your dogs, leashed or unleashed, to Klahanie: if you cannot leave them at home, leave them in the car - if you do bring a dog to Klahanie, you, your dog and your child will be asked to leave. Please note that it is an offence under the Animal Control bye laws to take a dog onto a sports field: the whole of Klahanie Park including the dirt field is classified as a sports field. Please DON’T LEAVE YOUR KIDS ALONE AT MINI-RUGBY! Mini-Rugby is not a child minding service: we expect a parent or other responsible adult to be at the field at all times when their child is participating in mini-rugby. If your child is injured or needs other non-rugby related care or attention, neither volunteers nor coaches are trained or authorised under our liability insurance to offer anything other than basic first aid on the field – in particular if a child requires ambulance or other emergency services, it is imperative that a parent or responsible adult is present. Whilst you’re watching your kids train or play, why not offer your help to the coaches who always appreciate an extra pair of hands, particularly with the younger players. |
